I’ve been using Kinfolk as my barber shop since it first opened, and I honestly couldn’t recommend them enough.
There’s a huge variety of free soft drinks available while you wait for your appointment, which is a really nice touch. All the staff are extremely friendly, and Ryan, Daryl, Alex and Frazer all do an amazing job with their clients.
The new shop fits the Kinfolk brand perfectly. It’s clean, modern and has a great atmosphere, with a brilliant music selection playing in the background.
I also find the pricing for the services to be really good, especially considering the quality of the cuts and the overall experience. I’ve always left Kinfolk with a fresh trim and feeling like I’ve had a great service.
Without a doubt, one of the best barber shops in Dundee!

Great first experience. Nice seating and waiting area with a nice view of the Perth Road in the west end. You get asked what drink you want so I choose water and got a cheap bottle which crumpled under the torsion of me trying to screw the cap back on. I’ll probably ask for a different drink next time. Anyway the haircut was great, music and atmosphere was nice. I was quite surprised at the talent of the barber I was pretty hopeless going in for a haircut from past experiences elsewhere. For the price I think the value for money is good and this business accepted AMEX. I’m not a fan of dogs but could tolerate one that was sat on the floor. If this business can provide water in a non crumpling bottle they’ll earn 5 stars.

Got my haircut done by Daryl at Kinfolks Dundee, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the result! He gave me a mullet, and I’ve been getting so many compliments ever since. Daryl really knows what he’s doing — he took the time to understand the look I wanted and absolutely nailed it. Super chill vibe, great attention to detail, and a genuinely friendly guy.
Highly recommend booking with Daryl if you want a fresh, stylish cut and someone who actually listens and delivers perfectly. Definitely my go-to barber in Dundee now! 💈✂️

I have followed Ryan’s work for a wile now and for someone who works in the same industry as him I knew I was in safe hands. During our consultation of what I wanted wanted to change with my cut I could see how passionate he is about what he does.
The cut itself was precise and clean, and I could tell Ryan paid close attention to every detail. He also made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole process, checking in to make sure I was happy with the length and style. The atmosphere of the shop was also welcoming.
As for someone who works in the same industry I would definitely recommend Ryan to anyone looking for a skilled barber!
